Welcome to the homepage of the Simulate AIRLINE & AIRPORT Simulation Conference 2017.

We're proud to announce the venue for the 2017 Simulate AIRLINE & AIRPORT Simulation conference is Hamburg Germany

Building on the success of our previous events, symposiums held in Mesa Arizona, Chicago Illinois, Singapore and last year in Omaha, we are pleased to announce the Simulate AIRLINE & AIRPORT workshop and conference.

The 2017 Simulate AIRLINE & AIRPORT conference will be held in Hamburg Germany on September 20th and 21st.

We are extremely happy to announce that the Reichshof Hamburg (Curio Collection by Hilton) will be our venue for this event.

The Conference and Workshop will cater to new and existing users and industry professionals demonstrating how simulations can work in an academic and corporate training environment.

We will run 2 simulations first using AIRLINE Online then AIRPORT Online from user and administrator perspective.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to The Hamburg University of Technology (in German Technische Universität Hamburg, abbreviated TUHH) for their assistance organising our event. TUHH is one of the youngest universities in Germany and is now rated very highly in a relatively short time. The university was founded in 1978 and now around 100 senior lecturers/professors and 1,150 members of staff (450 scientists, including externally funded researchers) work at TUHH. With an average of 5,000 students TUHH offers a high ratio of staff to students.

Simulate AIRLINE & AIRPORT Conference 2017 Agenda

Day One  Day Two
The first day is a detailed introduction and hands on use of the AIRLINE Online Simulation from both the user and administrator perspective. We will look at the engine that drives AIRLINE Online and the tools available to the administrator to impact demand and global events. Recent improvements to AIRLINE Online such as automation of connecting flights and the new demand calculations will be discussed as well as best practice case studies of implementing the simulation in an academic and corporate environment.

Day Two will focus on AIRPORT Online and the simulation of airport management with a focus on economic management and future infrastructure planning. Participants are responsible for the economic management and capacity planing of an airport in a real world environment.

The conference agenda was designed in consultation with our existing customers and requests from industry professionals and potential users with multiple specific goals in mind. 1. How are simulations used in management training. 2. How does the UI of AIRLINE & AIRPORT Online engage users. 3. How are the lessons and outcomes in AIRLINE & AIRPORT Online controlled by the administrator and how is this implemented in various environments.

If there is something particular you would like us to cover at the conference please let us know!

AIRLINE Online

The Aviation Business Simulation

Customisable Scenarios: One of the great strengths of AIRLINE Online, and which separates it from other business simulations, is its ability to be customised to meet your individual training requirements. The scope of each simulation can be as broad or narrow as needed and includes consideration of some or all of the following key management areas:

  • Advertising and marketing
  • Customer service
  • Market research
  • Finance
  • Pricing, revenue and yield management
  • Scheduling
  • Staffing and human resources
  • Maintenance
  • Investment
  • Debt management

We draw on a wealth of experience in providing full assistance during the set up of your scenario, to ensure that the maximum educational benefits are provided to your participants whether in academic or corporate training environments.

Further information: We are able to provide training program notes and staffing resources to fully compliment the simulation and your own training requirements. For further information about our corporate training programs, costs and availability, please contact us.

AIRLINE Online is a completely web based management training simulation in which participants take on the management of an airline business operating in a realistic and competitive environment.

Realistic: The simulation draws on an extensive database of real world financial and industry specific operational data which is constantly updated, allowing real world situations to be simulated and manipulated.

Competitive: Participants either have full control of their airline or work in management teams whereby each team member takes on a specific management role (marketing, finance, procurement, HR, customer service and so on). Each airline then competes against other individuals or groups competing in the same marketplace (environment). Simulations can be set up with as little as two or three individuals or teams right up to 60 or more teams. There is also the option to include computer generated competition.

AIRPORT Online

Airport Management Training will never be the same!

AIRPORT Online is an online multi user application to simulate and forecast the operations of an airport. As we all know, airport operations are an extremely complex and multi faceted operation. An airport operator must focus not only on the short term daily operations but also on the long term planning. AIRPORT Online enables users to operate in two time frames providing participants experience in all facets of airport management. The first timeline focuses on the daily operational/business aspect of the airport. The second timeline relates to the future planning (infrastructure and expansion) of the airport. Decisions made in either timeline are reflected in the second timeline at appropriate points.
